What you will learn and contribute to

As part of our team, you will:

  • Develop software on real-time operating system, including design, and coding, as well as maintenance of software.
  • Design the architecture of the functional modules
  • Unit test the features you develop
  • Maintain the software developed, providing support and technical assistance
  • Mentor junior engineers in the team
  • Follow all Nokia Information Security policies and guidelines including ISMS (ISO27001 program)

Your skills and experience

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Candidates with Bachelor´s in CS, EE, will be more relevant. Master’s degree a plus.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory or team leadership role, preferably in the same industry or a related field.
  • Excellent leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and inspire team members to achieve their best performance.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey instructions, provide feedback, and facilitate discussions.
  • Active listening skills to understand the needs and concerns of team members and address them appropriately.
  • Ability to delegate tasks, set clear expectations, and provide guidance and support to team members.
  • Proven ability to build and foster a cohesive and high-performing team.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address challenges and make sound decisions..
  • Comfortable with taking ownership of decisions and being accountable for their outcomes.
  • Minimum 10 years’ working experience in the area of packet core.
  • Packet core relevant 3GPP knowledge is required, such as network architecture, network elements and functions, call flows, etc.
  • Wide Network protocol knowledge is required, such as IPv4/IPv6, TCP/UDP, Diameter, Radius, GTP, GTPv2, PPPOE, L2TP, GRE, DNS, NTP, SNMP, SCTP, SIP, SSH, TLS, FTP, HTTP/HTTP2, etc.
  • Experience and knowledge of Linux and programming languages (preferably scripting languages such as TCL, Python, Perl, shell)
  • Knowledge (and experience if possible) of NFV (Network Function Virtualization), SDN, Virtualized Switching products and related virtualization technologies (KVM/QEMU, Xen, Vmware ESXi) is a big plus.
  • Experience in IP networking and packet core testing and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with networking test tools (IXIA, Spirent, IPerf, Wireshark, etc).
